Aldi has awarded construction of another new supermarket in Springfield, MA to Fortunato Construction Group.  Previous projects for ALDI have included stores in New Britain, Rocky Hill, Waterbury, West Haven, Middletown, Vernon, New Haven and Milford.  A new Aldi store in West Hartford is currently under construction by Fortunato Construction Group as well.

The new store in Springfield will be approximately 17,000 square feet and will open in the spring of 2010.  Project Manager for the new ALDI in Springfield will be Tom Chemelli and the project superintendent will be Bill Crandall.  ALDI is a leader in the international grocery retailing industry, serving Europe, the USA and Australia. Streamlined processes, a private-label brand strategy, a selective and reliable product assortment and double-guarantee philosophy have made it virtually impossible for competitors to match the widespread appeal of ALDI. With 1,000 stores in the US, consumers are enjoying up to 50% savings on most of their weekly shopping needs—Incredible Value Every Day.
