Prospect Enterprises is an owner and developer of retail properties. Fortunato Construction Group has acted as Construction Manager in two of our recent projects. The first is Fieldstone Commons, a newly constructed 100,000 square foot shop. Fortunato became involved in the project early on, providing budget and scheduling assistance. Fortunato went on to manage the construction of the entire project, from site work to final tenant improvements, handling all aspects of the construction process including bid selection, contract administration, oversight and supervision, permitting and inspections, and coordination with the project design professionals. We also relied upon Fortunato for detailed, accurate, and timely reporting of the project status and budget updates.
At our Bishop’s Plaza Shopping Center in West Hartford, Fortunato managed the construction of a full-scale façade renovation. Staples, McDonalds, Panera Bread, Dunkin Donuts and others occupy this very busy strip shopping center. The work of the project included demolition of an existing storefront canopy and erection of new structural steel framing to support the redesigned façade. All of the work was performed on an aggressive project schedule while maintaining continuous customer access for the retailers. The project was completed on schedule, without a single complaint from a tenant.
