Proceeds to Benefit

The Greens for Good Charity Golf event, presented by Fortunato Construction Group, directly benefits Work Vessels for Vets (WVFV) - a Connecticut based, award-winning, volunteer-run, national charity with the mission to award equipment to injured veterans who are starting a business. Since 2008, WVFV has equipped more than 3,000 veterans in all 50 states with tools, trucks, tractors, farm machinery, forklifts, electronics, drones, and more - valued at over $4 million!

Fortunato Construction Group is honored to host this charity golf tournament for the fourth year in a row, supporting a cause that is close to our hearts and making a positive impact in the community.

Since 2023, our Greens for Good event has raised over $130,000 for WVFV! We hope you can join us this year in support of a great cause.

2025 WVFV Greens for Good Awardees

We’re proud to share that the following veterans were recently awarded funding for their businesses as a direct result of the 2025 Greens for Good event.

Army MSG Cheryl Eberg

Army MSG Cheryl Eberg of New Haven, CT - with 100% disability rating from service in Tikrit, Iraq - was recently awarded $3,350 for office furniture and equipment for her Therapy on the Water “trauma-informed” practice.  MSG Eberg is a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working with seriously mentally ill veterans. She is also a retired Master Sergeant who served 28 years in the U.S. Army.  Her practice offers individual mental health therapy in a serene, nature-based setting.

Navy Seaman Wellison Millan

Navy Seaman Wellison Millan of East Haven, CT - with 100% back injuries and PTSD - was recently awarded $7,785 for a portrait camera, lenses and lighting equipment for his Flash of Grace photography business.  We are looking forward to having Wellison join us for our 2026 Greens for Good event!

“I wanted to take a moment to share a quick update and sincerely thank you again for the equipment support. It has already been put to immediate use, and the impact has been significant,” wrote Seaman Millan.  “Because of this upgrade, I am now landing projects that previously would have been out of reach. I have been actively connecting with both government-related opportunities and local small businesses, and that outreach has already resulted in collaborations as well as paid assignments. The quality I’m now able to deliver is opening doors much faster than before. I’m extremely grateful for the investment you made in my work. It’s making a tangible difference, and I’m committed to continuing to build on this momentum.  I thank you so much!”

Army CPT Adam Pierce

Army CPT Adam Pierce of Chesapeake, VA - with 100% disability from injuries sustained in Iraq - was recently awarded $5,802 for his Faith & Harmony Drone Services providing technical services and high-precision aerial data to commercia contracts. Like many of America’s current military, Pierce developed expertise in drone operations, data analytics and high-tech performance skills which he now translates to a civilian business to serve real estate professionals, contractors, and property inspectors.

“I thank Work Vessels for Vets so much for believing in me,” wrote Pierce.  “This equipment allows me to bid on high-ticket infrastructure contracts (bridges, towers, large-scale roofing) that 90% of the market cannot physically perform with their recreational drones.”

Captain Pierce made a further commitment to workforce development for his fellow veterans.

“Beyond my own operations, I have developed a training curriculum designed to help other veterans transition into this high-growth industry. My ability to break down complex aviation concepts for others demonstrates my mastery of the subject matter and my long-term vision to build a sustainable business that serves the community."
